Fressen is lovely for dinner (pricey by vegetarian standards). Great atmosphere. Fressen actually means to eat like an animal (a pig) in German, which is a great name for a vegi resto.

If you want to eat something for lunch, there is a persian influenced restaurant (a rather hidden gem) that has great great food. It's near Yonge and Bloor, article about it in now a little while ago.

Le cafe vert is veg-friendly, but not fully vegetarian.

Had a meal at Vegetarian Haven a couple years ago, and it was surprisingly tasty even for my meat-loving self. Slightly upscale, but cozy at the same time.

King's Cafe is pretty good too, though I think I prefer Bo De Duyen for Chinese. Kings definitely has nicer decor though. Feels a lot more contemporary, whereas Bo De Duyen is old school Chinese.

Bo De Duyen is no longer at that location. Supposedly it is moving elsewhere but I have no idea if that's actually happening (or has happened). At the very least, don't look for it at 254 Spadina.

I was forced by some Hippie Yuppie chums to go to Cafe 668 a few weeks ago and, despite the complete and utter lack of meat on the menu, had a good meal. On Dundas St. just east of Bathurst. Check it out.

They've moved since your visit. They're now three blocks WEST of Bathurst at #885. Same name, tho.

            lunch, dinner? price range?

for lunch - i recommend fresh (several locations).
not quite downtown i recommend are live(dupont & spadina) or annapurna (bathurst & dupont)
fressen is higher end and would be great for dinner.
