Does anyone have a link to any Philly area food festivals and competitions? West Chester has a restaurant fest in the fall as well as a Chili fest (competition). I'm looking to find some other area events. Thanks.

Join us for an evening of unlimited beer and gourmet food sampling at the 4th Annual Brewer’s Plate Fundraiser! This craft beer & food pairing showcase was created by Bill Covaleski, Brewmaster of Victory Brewing Co., to benefit Fair Food the main program of White Dog Community Enterprises (a 501c3 nonprofit). This year, 21 of the region’s top craft breweries will pair with 21 of the Philadelphia area’s most reputable restaurants (full list available on the website: www.thebrewersplate.org).

For this unique event, chefs prepare one sample dish, each created to be paired with a particular handcrafted lager or ale submitted by participating local breweries. They then serve their creations alongside the Brew Masters, who pour 3 oz. sample portions of the corresponding beers.

This year we are offering a VIP lounge pass with access to an exclusive area located in the Ball Room of the Independence Visitor Center; reserve craft beers; a full, exclusive gourmet spread by DiBruno Bros.; a live jazz band; optional beer-food pairing tutorials by Garrett Oliver and Marnie Old; gift bags; an exclusive 6PM "First Look" with unlimited sampling and more!

There's a mushroom festival every fall in Kennett Square, and the Italian Market Festival every May (in the Italian Market in Philly). Reading Terminal Market has a PA Dutch Festival the second weekend in August (albeit not last year due to management-tenant issues).
