Cowboy Trail

I'm thinking about doing a little cowboy trail trip on Sunday. Any must eats? We'll probably be doing breakfast, lunch and dinner and heading through Turner Valley, Longview and into Bragg Creek, but we could always stray from the trail for an amazing meal!

One of our favorite restaurants is the Longview Steak House. Don't be fooled by the name, they are so much more than what they seem to claim. After many visits and never once being less than wowed by the excellent food and varied choices, we've decided they must have chosen the name to attract more cowboys and locals who may not have been as quick to attend a French restaurant. They are a true hidden gem, IMO. You would not be disappointed.

I had lunch in the Bavarian Inn in Bragg Creek before, it was really good - plus schnitzel is such a perfect winter meal!

I second the Bavarian Inn. We've always had great service and food there!

Memories Inn in Longview is great place for Prime Rib. I think they do a dinner buffet that is quite good too.

Memories Inn in Longview had a pretty dismal report on inspection about a year ago (see link); I would be curious as to whether things have improved.
