Light Lunch in Scenic Location for Out of Town Visitor

My daughter in law's mother is in town and I offered to take her to lunch tomorrow. I'm drawing a blank for a place around Westport which has good light food and is either "scenic" or "typical" of the area. Any ideas?

  1. I would recommend going to Rowayton Seafood. Both good light food & scenic. Just not in Westport.

    edit: Here's their lunch menu.

Good idea. What about Harbor Lights? I like Rowayton better, but Harbor Lights has a more varied menu. Don't know if she is into seafood.

I can't comment on Harbor Lights since it's been so long since I've been there. Another thought for lunch however would be the Schoolhouse in Wilton. It's in historic Cannondale Village. Very New England.

Thanks. Have you tried it since it went upscale?

Yes, it's one of my favorite places. Very small menu but beautiful simple clean food. BTW, the prices listed on the site are for dinner. Lunch runs from 1130 - 2, Weds thru Sat.

    2. Neither of them are particularly scenic, but

      1. I was also thinking Harbor Lights or Rowayton Seafood.

As it turns out, the lunch was cancelled! Thanks for the suggestions anyway. I'll keep them in mind for next time.
