Restaurants in Beacon Hill
I am going to be in Boston for a week and staying at the Nine Zero Hotel. Any and all restaurant suggestions are greatly appreciated. Please note however that I don't eat meat and I am pregnant so Sushi is kind of out. Thanks,
Sasha

Falafel King down the block on Winter Street has great, cheap lunch.
Silvertone is a block away and is a fun downtown after-work kind of place.
The new Oceanaire is two blocks away across from Gov't Center.
Skip most of the Faneuil Hall places, but do go to Red Barn Roasters in the historic Faneuil Hall building for good coffee.
You are also around the corner from Chacarero, where you can enjoy the Chilean sandwiches.
Grotto is a short walk away over the hill, with good Italian. -

Sorry to be a thread hog, but another wonderful place where you can get excellent vegetarian and non-vegetarian food (and it's right on Beacon Hill) is Lala Rokh. Persian cuisine.

I think you'd also enjoy the vegetarian tasting menu at Ten Tables in Jamaica Plain (a short subway ride from Boston). And if your business companions aren't vegetarian, they can have the regular menu.

This might interest you. Brand new, and certainly different for the North End (our Little Italy):

Personally, not my cup of tea, but then again, I will give it a try eventually.

Knowing more parameters like what kind of food you usually like or what price range you are looking for would help. Also, Boston is fairly small and easy to get around so you certaintly don't need to limit yourself to Beacon Hill. My fave restaurant in that nabe is a higher end spot called No 9 Park which I like especially for their cocktails though sadly, it sounds like you won't be able to partake. The food is delicious too. If you want to do a strictly seafood place, I'd venture to Neptune Oyster in the North End or B&G Oyster in the South End. Both of those neighborhoods have many wonderful restaurants so if you search the board, you'll find many options.

re: lissy
I live in Europe and I am an adventurous eater so anything goes. As for budget same thing this is business so I need to take some people out for dinner and I might want to splurge with some good friends. But a great hole in the place is also appreciated. You can't get good Mexican in Europe so that would be nice. great fish is certainly enjoyable as long as the restaurant doesn't focus on raw bar stuff...
