South Jersey Beefsteaks?

Greetings all!

I just finished reading the NYT article on Beefsteaks (check it at http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/30/din...).

Do these happen anywhere in South Jersey? I am salivating just thinking about it.

Etc.

Not really, because only two places in Northern New Jersey cater them. Might be worth a trip. A Google search turns up tons of them in the region. I have been to private beefsteaks (family functions, birthdays) at a restaurant on Crooks Ave in Clifton, NJ called Luxor. It is next to Baskinger's (butter, not margarine), one of the caterers listed in the NYT article. They have no website, but call them to see if they can arrange one for you: (973) 772-2700. Either that, or it might to fun to buy a ticket and crash a real one!
