Cafe Pesto in Kawaihae. Still Open?(Big Island)

Wondering if the Cafe Pesto is still open for business in Kawaihae? Drove by there in December and it looked like the space was up for lease?

Always a good spot to stop by. Hope they are still in business

Also wondering , how close to completion is the gourmet food market in Waikoloa Beach Resort at the Queen's marketplace?

Cafe Pesto is indeed still open, though it has never been a favorite of ours we did eat there last week. I drove by the food market at Queen's shops and it doesn't look anywhere close to completion. Did not stop in to ask someone for their time estimate, but it looked like they were still doing construction and electrical.

I was just there last week. I need to write up a report, because I ate at quite a few places on the island. As for Cafe Pesto, we just had pizza and salad. The pizzas were fine and their caesar was really yummy with the blue cheese. I think my favorite part, though, was the giant chocolate mac-nut cookie with Tahitian vanilla ice cream for dessert. We took a cookie to-go too.

Cafe Pesto has been a long-time favorite of ours when we are visit the Big Island; was relieved to see that it had not closed. although visits to Cafe Pesto have also typically resulted in expensive visits to the art gallery next door...
