Anyone been here lately? I haven't been in well over a year, and my last few lunches there left me feeling very unsatisfied. Some girlfriends want to meet there for dinner in two weeks, but I am feeling kind of blech about going. Not saying the food is terrible, but when I look at the menu there isn't really anything I am just dying to have or would rave about. Is it just me, or have others had the same experience? The first few years it was open, I went at least twice a month. Then I thought the food combinations became a bit too weird, and I lost interest in this old favorite. Any comments from someone who has been there recently, pro or con?
I've been wondering the same thing--for years, this was our go-to place for a nice occasion. We always had fantastic meals and nice service there. But the last time we went (about a year ago now), it seemed like the magic had faded. Even the floral arrangements weren't as impressive (my wife always loved their flowers). Anyone have a recent report or explanation?
I haven't been in years. Fork seems to be either in coasting mode or focusing its energy on dealing with the added take-out next door. Either way, it seems that much more inventive places have sprouted up over the past five years in Philly while Fork has not kept up except for adding a take-out IMO.
I was there about a year ago and wasn't amazed by anything. Nothing particularly bad, but I would have rather spent my money and meal elsewhere.
