A visitor to Florida
Hi :) I'm in Scotland and we're visiting Orlando in October on holiday. My son is lactose intolerant (as well as food colour and aspartame sensitive) and a VERY picky eater for various reasons and I'm having nightmares about feeding him whilst we're there. We have booked a Condo so will do the majority of the meals there. How easy is it to get the likes of lactose free milk, cheese, ice cream, hotdogs from the major stores? I believe there are two Walmarts near to where we're staying in Kissimmee.
I believe the USA are far more advanced than we are in the UK for food intolerances and therefore probably have more products available. We don't appear to have a decent lactose free cheese here yet! When eating out (if we dare!) how likely is it that we will get a lactose free butter if we ordered a sandwich for example?
I apologise in advance if I'm out of order posting on these boards. II googled and found your site. I tried emailing Walmart via their website but couldn't because there wasn't an option for an international zipcode so the email was bounced :(
Many thanks for listening to me.

Do you have the USA zipcode for the condo you're renting? If so, plug that into the site to get the closest Walmart to where you're staying.
The website for Publix Supermarkets is: http://www.publix.com/
It's VERY easy to get lactose free products here. Make sure the Wal-mart you go to is a "super" Walmart, which has food. Regular Wal-marts don't have a large food section. Also, if you are staying near a Publix, I would recommend going there, they have a larger selection of lactose-free products than Wal-mart.
