Best place for dim sum in Oakland?

I was thinking about going to Gourmet Delight (which was excellent on one occasion, but not so much on a second visit), but I couldn't find much about it on this board. What do people here think? After browsing around the board, I may change my plans to East Ocean in Alameda instead, but I did want some opinions/suggestions.

Thanks!

Yeah, if you don't mind going thru the tunnel -- East Ocean is probably the best bet.

If you wanna stay in C-Town, Peony or Legendary Palace.

You can go through the tunnel and park in the time it takes to park in Chinatown.

Haha, this is so true. I'm glad I live right near Chinatown, or I'd never get to eat at any of these restaurants ;)

Side note: Jade Villa closed. It's been going slowly downhill for a while. Seafood buffet is going in.

If you do decide on Oakland, then Peony in Oakland's Chinatown is currently the number one spot for dim sum there. It's doing a roaring trade, and is slowly but surely pulling away much of the trade from the old favorite, Legendary Palace.

But East Ocean at Alameda beats both of them hands-down in terms of taste/quality.
