Driving. Is the new Hard Rock in the Fanueil Hall area?

      1. re: rosiebcook

Yeah, right there. It's where The Rack used to be.

Yes it is. It's where The Rack used to be. Are you looking for dinner/drinks/coffee?

      2. Do you want a place to lounge around and have a few cocktails? Or dinner? Or both? How long will you be waiting the kids out?

Definitely cocktails and dinner, nothing too fancy. Maybe we'll head over to the North End. We worked in the city for years, met there even. Ate at every restaurant around, but since moving to the burbs have gotten so out of touch with what's new and worthwhile. Thanks for the help.

I'd suggest doing a North End search here then. So many different opinions and price points, etc.

Prezza has good food and good cocktails that you can have right at the bar.

Prezza would be great. Sel de la Terre is a 5 min walk from Fanueil Hall. Kingfish Hall can be okay, just on the other side of the marketplace. Quiet drinks in the Millenium Hotel across the street. Or check out the bar at KO Prime in the Nine Zero hotel.

What about Grotto? its a short hop over from faneuil hall

If not the North End, if you want to stay with in a block, Red Sky is not soooo bad. It is older, least club like place and the food is actually ok for that area.

You know, I had a roasted chicken dish there a few months ago that was perfectly cooked and delish...of course I had had a few gin and tonics at Silvertone's first so my memory may be slightly impaired :)
