Who has the best Bacon?

  • b

Anyone have thoughts on really good bacon? I love the Pantry because their bacon is crisp and thick. Someone recommended a place on Fairfax, but I don't remember the name. Anyone suggestions?

  1. Plums Café on 17th St. in Costa Mesa has the most delicious peppered bacon brought in, as with many of their fresh ingredients, from the Pacific Northwest. One of the best breakfasts in OC, to be sure.

I enjoy the relatively thick-cut bacon at Duke's, on Sunset next to the Whisky in West Hollywood. In fact, breakfast there is generally pretty durn good.

Bobby's Coffee Shop on Fallbrook & Ventura Blvd has great Bacon! My twin daughters think it is wonderful. I'm try to stay vegetarian, but must "cop" to trying a "thimble" of it.

As for "BAD DONUTS" let's not go there !!!

Many lousy donut's exist all around the City of Angeles !!

Probably not best in LA, but last weekend I was surprised at how good my bacon at Astro Family Diner was. (Riverside x Fletcher in Silverlake.)

I must confess to a great fondness for the bacon at Dupar's of all places. I've tried bacon all over the place, and the truth is I'm rarely disappointed. Unless it's undercooked, what's not to like? But for some reason, Dupar's tastes particularly scrumptious to me. I can't imagine why. I'm sure they don't use a fancy or artisan brand. Am I alone on this?

Dupar's bacon is good indeed. Also (an obvious choice) John O'Groats
