Lunch suggestions for Wallingford, CT?

I'll be up there at lunchtime on Friday, but haven't done so for a long time.

Rather than cruising up and down Route 5 to see what's there, I thought I'd get some recommendations from you guys...I'm looking for a good sadwich / dog / burger place, not a plate lunch.

Archie Moore's in downtown Wallingford is good. It's a small chain of 3-4 restaurants. I've been many times to the original in New Haven and once to the Wallingford outlet. I recommend the soups, salads and chicken wings.

I didn't know that Archie Moore's had expanded up there. I appreciate the info, because I don't get into New Haven very frequently.

In North Haven on Route 5 - close to the Wallingford line is Dino's. Great burgers (try the Dino's special), fries, split Hummel Hot dogs, buttery lobster rolls. Chowhound heaven!

I think I'll go with your suggestion. I don't remember that place from when I was up that way more frequently (15 or so years ago), but it DEFINITELY sounds like what I'm looking for. That'll save me the drive to Hamden to go to the Glenwood, which is what I had planned to do.
