MWM Seeking Burger (Manchester, NH)
Looking for a burger, not just a regular burger, but something that can give back to me, I want juicy, cheesy, maybe different cheesy (gorgonzola or gruyere, is that too different?). Can be classy burger or more street-level but hopefully of good value (big believer if I get what I pay for).
I have heard about Z's Kobe Chopped Steak (a burger by another name?) but am looking for the Gilly's (Portsmouth) of Manchester. Red Arrow do you have my burger? Is it found in a sit-down restaurant? Buttery buns I need you! I may require/need bacon as a possible topping.
Fries/Onion rings optional but if available will pay extra.

I haven't been there often, but loved the burgers at Papa Joe's Humble Kitchen in Milford.

I see that the Manchester Union Leader has been doing a search for NH's best burger. They've done 9 places around the state so far.

I just read about Cremeland's burgers in the Hippo. (manchester NH) I always stop for awesome scallops and the homemade ice cream but was craving their burger after reading that their meat comes "from a family run business in Boscawen that grinds it straight from the side of beef at 4am and has it to Cremeland by 9am"! Also all the seafood is fresh, never frozen.
Today I had the texas burger and although I don't eat burgers often, this was fantastic. Med rare with nice crisp lettuce, tomato and onion. I think it was $3 something - wow!!! Give it a try.

re: treb
The problem with getting a good burger is that most places will not cook your burger to order. I still like mine medium rare, but am lucky if I can get it medium well. Every place tells me it's for health reasons. I say if you use quality beef, I should be able to get it medium rare. Any place still cook to order?

If you want the opposite, try this for a sign that civilization is ending:
