Lou Malnati's Taste of Chicago mail order
Anyone ever try ordering the pizza from out in Chicago? Just trying to think of a Valentine's gift for a guy. Thanks, Richie

Yes, we have gotten the pizza from Taste of Chicago, several years running. It is the worst Chicago pizza I've ever had, but we are lucky in that there is a fairly decent Chicago style pizza joint near us (Zachary's in San Ramon, CA). It didn't reheat really well, even in my friend's uber-kitchen. I didn't think it was worth the $60 for two pizzas, personally. I guess I would feel differently if there were no other alternative.

re: choctastic
My wife and I receive two pies every christmas. Originally, we thought them dreadful. However, since they arrive each year, we decided to figure out if they can be prepared in such a way as to make them palatable. We have in fact developed a process whereby they come out quite good. Here are the rules:
They must be prepared either the day after they arrive or within a week thereof. They must be thawed in a refrigerator overnight (make sure to wipe the moisture off the inside of the lid) and then let come towards room temperature on the counter (uncovered) prior to cooking. The oven must be completely preheated. Pay attention at the end of the cooking time as they seem to take less time than the package suggests.
