New SF ramen restaurant?
I saw a help-wanted flyer on the Nijiya Market bulletin board re: wait staff for a new SF ramen restaurant. The flyer said the restaurant was expected to open in March. Is there any other information about this place?

I posted a few weeks ago about Watami, which will be a ramen and shabu shabu restaurant. Watami will take over what was Dragon River on Geary Blvd between 17th and 18th Avenue. Maybe this is the one?

Maybe.
Watami (和民) is also a big izakaya chain in Japan. Would be interesting if they're opening up an SF location.

Inicdentally, it's Dragon House, not Dragon River that Watami is allegedly taking over.

Yes. That's right. I always get the two confused becayse Dragon River is right by my place. Thanks for the correction and I apologize for any confusion. :)

Well, not sure who's still interested in Watami but I drove by yesterday and it's open.

Could it be "Asuka ramen"?
I saw the job opening on Japanese local paper, and it says it'll be open in March.
(I haven't seen the one at Nijiya yet, so not sure)

Asuka Ramen will be at 883 Bush St in lower Nob Hill, where the Asuka Mart convenience store is or was. This doesn't answer the question, of course.

Sounds like that's the one because of the March opening, plus the fact that it was in both the Japanese paper and on the Nijiya board.
