Standard Tap, North 3rd, Good Dog - OK for families?
My wife and I loved on our last trip to Philly a lot of the bars with great food: Eulogy, Standard Tap, Royal Tavern, Cantina Los Caballitos, and Monk's. However, this time we are being brave and taking our 2 boys (ages 7 and 5) to the big city with us. While we will be grabbing lunches at the RTM (cue DiNic's drooling) and hopefully the Italian Market, I would love get dinner at one or more of the above, Good Dog, North 3rd or Deuce.
As long as we go early (out of the place by 7), would we be out of place at any or all of the above? I guess we'll go old school Italian like Marra's if the answer is yes, but I really want eat at one of the above! Also, what would be some good family-centered activities in Center City after dinner in early April? Any help is much appreciated.

I have seen a few families with small children at N. 3rd. But be forewarned that there are some artistic renditions of naked ladies on the walls (I sat under a crocheted naked lady the last time I was there). The family next to us didn't seem to mind (although the little girl sat facing the center of the room instead of the wall) and the kitchen even made up a special plate of mac and cheese for her (something other than their usual offering...but I wasn't listening too closely). Anyway, I saw another family with children there as well.
We then went to North Bowl (bowling alley in N. Libs, a short walk from N. 3rd, right next to Standard Tap), and again, saw quite a few children. This was all relatively early in the evening (6:30-8:30).›2 Replies-
re: jerseytomato
i see a couple kids now and then at n3rd, primarily in the summer and when there are tables outside. noticed an increase since the smoking ban was enacted.
saw kids in the standard tap once, my first visit there.
no rules against it, to the best of my knowledge. both menus have kid-friendly things, too.
