Joe's in Ridgewood. Which one?

NAtiveNewYorker Jan 28, 2008 12:49 PM

There's the old location, that still serves pizza, and there's the new location that's a sit down restaurant.

Is the old pizzeria still good?

And where's the best pizza in Ridgewood?

They are both sit down actually. The original Joe's is more red sauced. Good classics. Not great, but good. The new location has daily specials. Again, good, not great.

Ridgewood is not a great pizza hub. Rosa on Fresh Pond Road has consistantly good slices. Fresh, and they have an awesome grandma slice.

If you're going to Joe's, make sure you hit the Forest Pork Store.

I heard the Forest Pork Store is closed. As far as Joe's forget both of them unless your looking for a take-out hero, then go to the older one by PS 93. For the best Italian in the Ridgewood area go to Antica on Fresh Pond Road. Always outstanding!
