hunan or sichaun on the westside??

can anyone recommend a good hunan or sichaun rest. on the westside??

    Josh, I see you've posted the question repeatedly and got no answer...I don't know much about Chinese, let alone on the Westside, but try searching the CH database on the main CH page ("los angeles hunan," etc.). In the meantime, here's a link that might be of some help. Good luck and let us know what you find.

      Have you tried Hu's Schechuan at National and National in Palms? It's pretty good 'New York style' basic sichuan chinese. It's a real favorite with locals and also the critics. It's hard to find this type of chinese in LA and I really enjoy it but some think it's a little too oily for the LA pallette. I think it's not spicy enough for me but they do have plenty of that on the side if you want. Definately worth a try. It's very casual and inexpensive but not a total dive. Let me know how you like it!

        brian... thanks for the recomandation to hu's on national... i have tried it and it is the closest to what i am looking for... very close but not quite there... if you have any other pics please let me know.... thanks again.... josh
