Restaurant Smoking Ban Friday

Where will you go that you didn't before because of too much smoke?

The Cosmopolitan. Love their martinis, couldn't ever smell them, though...

I would also mention the basement at Brewer's Art. Dougherty's used to be on my list before I started frequenting Brewer's Art. They have decent burgers and reasonable prices. However upon leaving the place I smelled like smoke down to the cellular level.

Like I said above, the basement at the Brewers Art is already smoke free.

I gave up smoking recently (and it's taking quite well). So I've been trying to avoid several places for the last month or so, although I've always asked for non-smoking areas even when I was a smoker.

Places that will go back into regular rotation for me are Duda's, Fort Charles Pub (for the rest of its brief life) and Club Charles (food from next door at Zodiac).

One of the best will be the downstairs at Zorba's, with the window overlooking the kitchen. Right now it's also the smoking area, depriving non-smokers of the view.

Is Fort Charles Pub still under the old management? If I go tonight or tomorrow night will I be able to experience the burgers, fries, and all the other great stuff the people here rave about?

I don't think anyone's raved about the fries, but yeah, the old management is still in charge for the next couple of weeks anyway.

Ack. Call first. I think they may have started closing the kitchen on Mondays.

I used to leave Friends in Fells Point smelling like an ashtray, but would brave the smoke for their nachos (wonderful) and veggie sliders. I can't wait to go post-ban.

My boy would try to get me to Dead End - which is a lot of fun, but it was always way too smoky as well. Dawn of a new Day...

Really?!? I thought it was only the upstairs for now. Thanks for the tip!

I went 2 weeks ago and they had no smoking signs on the bar downstairs!

Second the Dizzy Issie's. I still frequent it all the time (grew up in a smoking environment so it didn't bother me even though I don't smoke), but I can finally convince my friends to make this place our regular haunt. Love the black and bleu.

Jennings Cafe in Catonsville. Great food, but the smoke was horrendous.

Hi all, Please confine the discussion here to places you once avoided because of the smoke. General discussion of the the ban and/or smoking, are off topic here. Thanks!
