What's the diff between buying the curd or just making it from scratch with rennet, citric acid, and milk?

I presume the curd's already been dosed with rennet. I don't know of any local sources though this website lists a couple of online suppliers:

Good link... you know any decent places to get Burrata? I've had it at Il Mulino in Fort Lauderdale, but nowhere else.

Seems like I can't get away from the stuff these days (I'm not as big a fan as some). Have seen or heard about burrata dishes at ->

That should give you a few more places to sample.

Also, at the Upper East Side Green Market this past Saturday, there was a guy who had fresh mozzarella and burrata ->

Good stuff, thanks! I've been wanting to go to Upper East Side for the mini golf and movies, so maybe I'll make a day of it and do the market too.

The mini golf is tiny but great - funky little spot. Just so you know, the Upper East Side Garden is at 72nd St. on the west side of Biscayne. The Green Market is around 66th on the east side (in a park, I think it's called Legionnaire's Park).

You can buy it at The Cheese Course in Weston. They fly it in fresh from Italy every week. It's expensive but oh so worth it.
