Flanken??

Anyone know any "Jewish" style restaurants (no need to be Kosher) for Flanken (boiled beef with horsradish sauce), kasha varnishkas etc.?? Used to get this all the time in New York at Kiev-24 hour Ukrainian Coffe Shop in East Village-have no found nowhere in LA.
Please don't refer me to Canter's on Fairfax for this or anything. Hate that place (love the bakery items but not the food)
thanks

    Brent's Deli in Northridge.
Improbable location for the real thing.

There is one restaurant in Beverlywood, Pat's, that is Kosher and has pretty good food. But as far as real Russian and Ukrainian food, I can't truly tell you, even though I speak Russian fluently (!)--I make that stuff at home. If you're into exploring, the stretch on Santa Monica Blvd around Fairfax has a dozen Russian restaurants, all family style.

There's a bunch of Jewish and Kosher deli's on Pico between La Cienega and Beverly Drive. You might want to explore there.
