Saffron Deli, Putney, London

A well put together Persian tea (apparently the folks there blend it themselves), served in the proper small glass cups; wonderful to let the tea dissolve a coarse cube of sugar under the tongue.

The Turkish coffee is relatively mellow in flavour despite the strength, with a clean rounded finish. Comes with Lebanese baklava.

A comfortable place to sip and relax, with the feel of someone's living room. Lovely Persian hospitality.

Afraid not; I ended up at Ma Goa on that excursion. More to try. :)
