I read some good reviews about this place here and on rockwell so I gave it a try. They extended RW (albeit with a limited menu). We were very impressed and will return again--probably in spring when they open up their outdoor patio with beautiful vistas of Georgetown.

I had the CAPRESE FRITTA which was pretty good although I probably would try something else next time. The onion rings on them were terrific. For entree, I had the RAVIOLETTI, red snapper ravioli sautéed with shrimp, clams, Mediterranean mussels and tomato
white wine sauce. This was AWESOME!!! It wasn't too chewy as some previous poster had mentioned--they must have fixed the problem. The only negative was that the clams were rubbery and inedible--but the red snapper ravioli, shrimp, and mussels were excellent. And the tomato sauce begged for bread to be dipped into it. I would order this one over and over again. For dessert, I had the BOMBOLINI, which were 3 little donuts/zeppoli with jam or custard filling. Really good.

My husband didn't do RW. He had the SPAGHETTINI--with very tasty tomato sauce and the POLLO ai PIOPPINI--which was a real winner. I have to get that next time. They do a great job with flavors and spices.

The restaurant is very nicely appointed with window views, cool flatware and fireplaces. I wish however they wouldn't use those wine glasses without stems. I like stems!

Small issue, however. This restaurant is really good and I hope that it sticks around for a long time.
