Really good cake in KC???

ehadleyr Jan 25, 2008 01:57 PM

My famiy is relocating to MSP (already scouting out the scene there), and tonight some friends want to take us out to dinner.

We have but one request.

Really good cake for dessert. Preferably on the menu. And we will have kids with us. Chocolate is alright, but strawberry, lemon, even yellow is readily encouraged. Non-buttercream options will be considered, as long as cake is really, really moist.

I happen to be a big fan of the flourless chocolate torte at Pangea, if you can consider that a 'cake.' Unfortunately, it ranges from "absolutely amazing" to "this was probably good two weeks ago when it was first made, but currently I am eating a chocolate-flavored brick."
