Montreal Fries - Taunton

[Fort Point]

Noticed a new place just off of Rte 24 at exit 16 which I assume is Taunton called Montreal Fries. It looked like a fast food place but the name intriqued me. Does anyone know what is all about?

I went last Tuesday, got a hot dog and the poutine. They will steam or grill you hot dog and they use a sandwich press on the bun. The poutine is ok, the cheese curds are squeaky. All in all I'd say it’s a good hold over till you get back north of the border. I bet my opinion would change if I went there at 3am after a 12 pack of Molson Exports. FYI they are only open till 8PM

I stopped once and had some fries. They were not bad but a little greasy. They specialize in Poutine which is fries with cheddar curd on top. They also have burgers and dogs. It looks like it will be one of those great road side dives that is great late night. They have a web site so you can check out the menu. www.montrealfries.com
