Freshly ground peanut butter

I live in New York and recently had a friend visit from LA. While she was here we ate some freshly ground honey roasted peanut butter that we had picked up in Fairway. Now that she is back in LA she can't find the freshly ground peanut butter anywhere-- does anyone know where to get it? Thanks!!

They have some at the Farmer's market on 3rd and Fairfax.

The place in Farmer's Market is Magee's. You can get it fresh, right from the grinder, still warm. IMHO it is the best peanut butter around. They also sell freshly ground almond, cashew, and other nut butters, as well as the nuts themselves. Magee's has another stall at the market where they sell freshly ground horseradish and home-made salads. All good.

You can grind it yourself at Whole Foods.

THE Farmer's Market -- 3rd and Fairfax. I've never eaten the peanut butter, but I can smell it while eating at Kokomo's. Guess now I'll have to try it.

Wow. Someone (Belafkah) finaly has the courtesy to print a location, and along comes somebody else, a couple of posts later, to ask where it is.

People who don't give at least a clue as to where a restaurant is should be force-fed Big Macs for the rest of their lives, of course (as should those who answer a question about one area of town with a spot 30 miles up or down the San Diego freeway, or those who believe that there is a "the best" anything), but it behooves Chowhounds to actually read the posts, as well. It increases the usefulness of the board to all of us.
