Opinions re: Il Cortile or F. Illi Pontes?
How do they compare regarding food, service, atmosphere, etc? We're thinking of using one of them for a rehearsal dinner, but we live out of town and won't be able to try them out before making a decision.
I haven't been to il cortil in many many years. I've been to Pontes a few times and recently went to a lunch in their upstairs room. It's a good old school place - probably way past it's prime, but probably quieter than dealing with little italy.
I really like Il Cortille. Nice space, good food (the only place in Little Italy I actually enjoy going now that Taormina is closed), good service. And it's in a more accessible location, I'd say, than F. Illi.
