Coramandel Opens in SoNo

For those who can't get into the Darien branch, they just opened in the old Relish spot in SoNo.

Is Coromandel better than Thali? We are not that familiar with Indian food, and I'd like to give it a go. I think I've been putting it off because I don't know what is what and what to order! Which one do you think is better?

We love both Coromandel and Thali. The food is different between the two but good at both - I don't think you can go wrong. Most people I know seem to prefer Coromandel. The space at Thali is much larger & more unusual (also a bit louder) than Coromandel if that is a factor. We had appetizers at Thali this weekend and they were delicious. I highly recommend the Chat - yum!

jfood is not an indian food person by nature buthas been to Thali NC twice and loved it. Here is a review he posted from a couple of weeks ago with the food. Thankfullyone of the party ordered for everyone. It was outstanding. already been back just with Mrs jfood,

      2. I would also like to add a smaller less expensive place that I think is really good. Tawa in Stamford on High Ridge Rd.. Very nice staff and owners, delicious food at a reasonable price AND they deliver. Though I do like Thali and Coromandel both I think this place is a terrific value.
