Lunch at the Dakota (MSP)
I had lunch there on Monday. The food was very very good. I had not been there in years. Since moving on to Nicollet Mall, I usually passed it by to go to Vincent or Masa. I am really glad I stopped. To start I had this outstanding Cauliflower soup (very rich/cream based) . I then had the crab cake po boy. Really delightful. I will be back.

Yes, the Dakota is great. I go there often for the jazz and have eaten off of their "club" menu and not been disappointed. So far I've tried their Artisan Cheese and Fruit Platter, the Trio of Fish is good too. Portions aren't huge but are perfect for nibbling on something while listening to the good music. Even their "cup of fries" are good - served with their homemade bearnaise sauce, great for dipping. You can also order a more substantial meal, even in the club, and so far my favorite for an entree sized meal is their Walleye. They switch it up and serve it different ways, but it's always good. Last time it was encrusted with pistachios and delicious. A great way to spend an evening listening to good music, eat good food, drink good wine, and support the arts!
