casual sweet 16

My daughter's sixteenth birthday is coming up and I'm looking for a nice restaurant in Boston to take her and about 10 friends to. Something not too fancy but still fun. Thanks!

I think Upstairs on the Square would be a good choice. It has a fun atmosphere/decor and plenty of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Tapas at Tasca or would be fun - I know they have plenty of veggie options.

I went to tea and a show with a bunch of girlfriends for my 16th. My parents got us a limo and it was the most fun. If that interested you, I would receommend L'Espalier and the Four Seasons (especially L'Espalier as it is moving to the Mandarian). Although it might be fun to take them somewhere "trendy" and in that case almost anywhere in the South End - Toro, Gaslight, Stella. Tapas might be fun at Dali or Tapeo. Hope that helps!

Well, my daughter does not eat meat or fish. It doesn't have to be all vegetarian but someplace where she can eat! I don't have a budget, but someplace not too expensive.

for 16 yr olds, ES and sushi may not be their palates, maybe Regina's.

Eastern Standard, Fugakyu if they like sushi, Gaslight.

Do you have a price limit, and are there any specific types of food to stay away from?
