JD, Seattle's International District offers the best inexpensive food options. Seven Stars Pepper Szechuan, Tamarind Tree and Green Leaf are Chowhound favorites. The oddly appealing Fort St. George is another consideration. In Pike's Market I suggest the upstairs bar at Maximillien's at the Market, Matt's at the Market and 94 Stewart St. True Seattle destinations include Palace Kitchen and the new, vibrant Txori (which is the most expensive option mentioned but worth the splurge.)
