I finally went.
I had the chicken-fried steak. I have never had one before, so I have no way to compare, but man was it good. Absolutely crispy coating and a great cream sauce. I went for the Texas portion and could only just finish it. For sides, i had mashed potatoes and (yet more) cream gravy. The cole slaw was good, not amazing. Reminded me more of cole slaw I grew up on - larger pieces of cabbage rather than the minced stuff we get down here. The dressing on the slaw was a little thin.
My friend had the smoked turkey (excellent) and at the waiter's suggestion, mustard-based sauce. Fine combination. I did not try them, butt he beans looked very good.
Great addition to the local que restaurants.
I have eaten there twice as I live right around the corner from the resaurant. I found the place to be clean and the servers were very informative and helpful with the menu. I had the brisket which was excellent and then on my second trip had their ribs which were also superb. They have been open about a week.
Site is still in progress (no menu yet), but here are the details:

I called today and it is now open. I haven't been yet, but I spoke with one of the owners last week, and they are wood-smoking pork, brisket, chicken, and I think another item or two.
I work close by so I will post a review when I get a chance!
