Where is the best place to get a wedding cake in or around New Orleans? I've emailed Flour Power but have not received a response. Just wanted to see if there might be any other suggestions.

ours came from maurice's. they did a fantastic job, and it wasn't nearly as expensive as some of the other options we considered.

      The Sugar Shak in Houma
They did my wedding in Shreveport and my 6 tier cake was amazing. It tasted as good as it looked! (which when it comes to wedding cakes is hard to find these days)

You could try Swiss Bakery. Its on Saint Charles. They have great cakes!

Ditto on the Swiss Confectionery recommendation.

Ours came from Croissant D'Or in the french quarter. It was non-traditional (Sacher Torte) but it was fantastic and very reasonably priced too! The best part is that we can always go by there and get a slice of our wedding cake!

Zoe's on the North Shore, as well as the Cake Cafe and Bakery on Chartres
