diner or similar, Foxboro area?

Would love some ideas for a diner, or similar, for lunch today in Foxboro or nearby, meeting someone for lunch there. No big occasion, just want some decent food at a place that will have a high chair and is accessible to a mobility-limited grandma. We live in Providence, and left to our own devices around here, we'd probably end up Modern Diner or Hope St. Pizza.

Anyway - any ideas for somewhere decent/possible in the Foxboro vicinity to get something healthy to eat/diverse-age friendly, non-national chain if possible. Thanks!

  1. I don't know if the Red Wing Diner is open for lunch, but that would be my pick. It's on Route 1, on the southbound side. I can't remember exactly where on Route 1--whether it's past the Stadium or not (I think it is). Nothing fancy, but excellent fried clams, pizza and seafood and family friendly.

I believe the Red Wing Diner is before the stadium, as you're heading south on Rt. 1. Another suggestion is Tom's Tavern in Wrentham. It's on Shears St, not far from KP High School.

I just noticed that your request was for lunch today, so my suggestion is too late! But maybe next time....
