EAT Restaurant (New Orleans)

Any reviews or thoughts on EAT? The menu and concept sound interesting to me, but I'm wondering what someone who has been there thinks. Thanks!

I still cannot get over the fact that it is not the Quarter Scene anymore. Unfortunately, I also cannot seem to get past my bias against it because it is not the Quarter Scene. It is not as good and also more expensive than it needs to be. It is also still a better choice than other similarly designed restaurants.

I like it, but tend to find it overpriced for what you get. I do love that it is BYO.

I'm biased, but it's great! Short/long version, but my girlfriend's friend dates the owner. The accolade I'll bestow is that when you have dinner, you feel at home. I'm from SC and think the mix of NoLa and Southern down-home cooking is pleasingly well done.

Thanks robrob and TigerAtty. One other question...I will be by myself, and in that situation I generally prefer to eat at the bar, rather than a table. I know its BYOB, but does EAT have a "bar" area? Thanks again.

                I don't remember a "bar" area.

Two dining rooms, no "bar" area. Try to get a table by a window... people watching will keep you company. EAT & enjoy!

I have eaten there twice for dinner. The food is tasty and the prices are very reasonable. Both times we were in large groups and they were very accommodating. It's a great place for "comfort food."
