Im going to be in the Goose Creek area of Charleston SC this coming week for job stuff.
Any advice for local pork hams, seafood, BBQ, Pho, or local chow stuff a guy from DC should not miss while in the area?

Dont forget local breakfast joints!!!

Roberts BBQ on Rivers Avenue is pretty good. Pho Bac over by the Carolina Ice Palace is excellent for Pho. Both are in N. Charleston, but near to Goose Creek.

I stumbled upon Robers BBQ today while leaving Goose Creak, Route 52?
Next to the Piggly Wiggly. I was impressed, I never had that mustard type sauce and the hash over rice.

Well, not giving up and with the blessing of a GPS I found Bessinger's! in Ashley.
Great Ribs!! Corn bread and collards.
Stumbled to my car and let the GPS drive me home.
      Great!

If you want the best of that in the area, have your GPS take you to Momma Brown's in Mt. Pleasant. And it's a buffet... woooooooooo.

I read some good reports on that place too.
Maybe next time. Spent a lot of time just driving around the area as well.
Those odd skinny houses with the door's on the porch threw me for a loop.
But all in all I enjoyed my self.

Those doors are called "hospitality doors" -- should have made you hungrier!
