We're looking for a place in the north end to take our out-of-towner inlaws and our two young children (2 1/2 and 4 1/2). Looking for something casual enough for kids but would be great if the food were good and the restaurant not super touristy...Let me know if you have any thoughts - thanks!

You don't say if it's lunch or dinner you're after. And as for "touristy" restaurants up there are touristy if the food is good, but no matter. If it were my in-laws and with little kids I'd go to Antico Forno. The kids will love the pizza and the blazing oven, you'll love the other, quite tasty food and the reasonable prices.

Sounds like that might be a good bet, thanks! I guess touristy isn't really that descriptive. I just still have flashbacks to someone taking me to a really really bad restaurant on Hanover St. (one of the La Famiglia places). Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.
