Charlotte -- Early Bird Specials
On Sunday, Sullivan's offers a special (Prime Time) for $29 that includes steak/prime rib/fish? with a salad, side, and desert. It's good deal and the portions are a good size. We have done this a couple times and like it a lot. Does anyone know of other similar specials for an early Saturday or Sunday meal in town?

I went for this 'special" at Sullivan's once. Not pleased - the prime rib had no taste at all. On Tues night I believe 6-9 at McKoys Smoke House they have a special that is great. 10oz. prime rib and a baked potato for $10. The Prime Rib is really excellent. Well seasoned, tender and you can have to your liking temp/ wise. Some time I go with medium and some time I like a nice crusty end cut. Both superb. Not a fancy place but good food!

you are a tough sell, lol. We usually get the steaks -- me the strip, my wife the filet and they are good to my mind.

I can be a tough sell. I generally am not a fan of chain places and Sullivan's is a chain of 16 restaurants. The Lone Star Steakhouse chain owns them and I guess the cows with less than a C average get served there. But seriously give me a run of the mill super market bought rib eye and with my Weber grill I can make a steak that will rival any of the top bastions of beef in town. That being said the deep fried lobster tail appetizer at Macintosh is a knock out.
