Phoenix: Where to go for dessert tonight?

l

Hey folks!

This is a last minute post...My mom and aunt are in town from California. We are headed to the Celebrity Theater tonight, comedy show begins at 8, and I need recs for places to go for dessert afterwards. I like to keep it local to the Celebrity and the Central Phoenix area. Any thoughts?

Thanks!!
Lala

Perhaps Archelino for gelato or Radio Milano (across the street) for olive oil cake? Sounds good to me...

while the desserts at My Florist Cafe might not be phenomenal, i think they are pretty good and many times when i am in that part of town, i stop by My Florist to get some coffee and dessert. and the pianist there is excellent! i like the atmosphere there.

I love Lisa G's for dessert. They have a "something fruit" dessert comprised of three tiny cobblers with two flavors of gelato that is perfect!

We went to Lisa G's, thanks for the rec! SO and I have always wanted to try this place and it did not dissapoint! They were out of their "something fruit" :( but no dissapointment there as we order the other 4 desserts and shared them. It was delish! We had the fallen chocolate souffle cake, the creme brulee, the mini Tammy Coe cupckaes with gelato and a sesame candy bowl full of yummy gelato. It didn't stand a chance! Thanks so much!

I am so glad that you liked it! I have actually never been for dinner, but it is my go-to place for dessert or a post-dinner glass of wine.

We do want to do lunch or dinner there. It is now our go to place for dessert. We were in heaven! lol The mini Tammy Coe cupcakes were perfect, just enough richness without being over the top. I love the sesame seed bowl with the gelato. The savory/sweet is over the moon! Thanks again!

This is probably too late, but you can order souffles at the Biltmore Grill and have them
in the lounge or in the cafe or on the patio. Very nice ... The Biltmore is always pretty cool to have a relaxing drink or dessert after another event.
