DC this weekend
Are we crazy to walk it? We're venturing into the city from the burbs for the weekend, and I'm wondering if metro is worth it or if we can walk. We're staying at the Doubltree on New Hampshire, but have reservations for RW at Ceiba for 6pm and then a show at the Lisner Auditorium at 8pm. Is this walkable or are we better off catching the metro or a cab? I figure 90 minutes for dinner should be a safe bet and that gives us 30 minutes to get to Lisner.
Also, any recommendations on what to order at Ceiba. I've seen some raves for the ceviche. How about the desserts and main courses?
Lastly, any options for good late night coffee between Lisner and Doubletree? We'll pass on Starbucks and are looking for something with a more local vibe. Live music would be a bonus!

You might have to walk it (or cab it since it's suppose to be coooooooold) since there are major repairs on the metro this weekend and there is expected to be 20-30 minute delays in almost every direction.
The Lisner isn't too far from your hotel...maybe a 15 minute walk at most. The longer distance is from your hotel to Ceiba. You might want to just hop in a cab. It won't be more then $7-9, depending on how many people are in your group. It's a pretty far walk (although scenic since you can go past the White House etc). Just bundle up or take a cab.
In terms of what to order at Ceiba, it's been a long time since I've been there but I remember enjoying the queso on the hot lava stone (amazing presentation), some duck dish, and their great drink menu.
