Thai, Japanese, Chinese and more. Has anyone seen it or been?
Just came from there and I was talking to John the owner and you are right. I have never been to Tengda but we had dumpling appetizer and the dipping sauce was very interesting, vinegar and mushroom and yummy. Then we had the Thai chicken lettuce wrap, the Spicy Mango with chicken and it was ok. I by the way forgot my glasses so we went on John's recommendation.
They were very nice and it was a good looking spot. I wish them luck. Tell me what you think.
Oh, duh, I just posted in response to an earlier thread then saw this.
I went tonight and it was good. Like someone said, just like in Darien, but I think the Stamford branch will be way more fun (dull as a doornail when I went in Darien).
No complaints about the food; sushi was great, spring rolls good, and great salads. I can't emphasize enough how happy I am that they have a beautiful house salad... for four bucks. At other Japanese restaurants, that gets you rabbit-quality lettuce, but these were nice greens.
I am looking forward to going back, because I ordered more food than I could eat, and the bill for 2 people (no drinks) was 42 bucks. 50 with tax.
And they have watermelon mojitos, a new take on the mojito trend that's hitting the nation. I don't have a problem with that trend.
