Just came from there and I was talking to John the owner and you are right. I have never been to Tengda but we had dumpling appetizer and the dipping sauce was very interesting, vinegar and mushroom and yummy. Then we had the Thai chicken lettuce wrap, the Spicy Mango with chicken and it was ok. I by the way forgot my glasses so we went on John's recommendation.

They were very nice and it was a good looking spot. I wish them luck. Tell me what you think.

Oh, duh, I just posted in response to an earlier thread then saw this.
I went tonight and it was good. Like someone said, just like in Darien, but I think the Stamford branch will be way more fun (dull as a doornail when I went in Darien).
No complaints about the food; sushi was great, spring rolls good, and great salads. I can't emphasize enough how happy I am that they have a beautiful house salad... for four bucks. At other Japanese restaurants, that gets you rabbit-quality lettuce, but these were nice greens.
I am looking forward to going back, because I ordered more food than I could eat, and the bill for 2 people (no drinks) was 42 bucks. 50 with tax.
And they have watermelon mojitos, a new take on the mojito trend that's hitting the nation. I don't have a problem with that trend.

I called and they said they have food from 5 different asian countries, sounds exciting and confusing but do hope it is clean not gloppy food without using MSG!! And of course delivers. I want great peking duck?

I know you're having a hard time finding peking duck...but the new-ish resto in town, Duo, does have a peking duck appetizer. Unfortunately, no delivery - but you can do take out.

Actually, they do deliver. I haven't tried them yet though, am thinking about trying tonight.

Yes, I recently found that out myself. They have a temporary take out menu - it is different than the resto menu. Its $20 minimum for delivery.

elephants give birth faster than this place opened. Jfood started watching it while having dessert last summer outside a few doors down. it's been so long he forgot about it.

Hope the food is good, stm can use a good asian place.
