I love the mussels at Timpano, as well as their flatbreads. The Grape looks interesting every time I pass it, but we haven't been there yet. I'd choose Mark's on Las Olas over Johnny V's. When we ate there a few years ago, the food was good, but I don't think they've added anything new since then, and the atmosphere was awful. Up front, where we sat, we were packed in like sardines. I felt we were having dinner with the people on either side of us, they were so close. On a trip to the ladie's room, the back of the restaurant was completely gray...so gloomy! I know a lot of people like Johnny Vs, so I'm probably in the minority, but I'd rather go to the Grill Room on Las Olas, Rino's Tuscan Grill, Timpano, or Big City over JVs.
