Was in Bryn Mawr today, lunchtime, and three people who work there couldn't come up with a place that serves great hamburgers nearby.

Here's my question: Not Bryn Mawr specifically, but where, anywhere, including Center City, suburbs and "over the bridge" can one get a reliable juicy, tasty, somewhat rare hamburger?

Toppings aren't where it's at with me, so much as freshly ground beef, good buns, NOt looking for Kobe beef or mini-burgers (sliders?), just places where one can know in advance that an order of a burger will be reliable and great. Any place with good meat will also have good toppings.

I think that's my favorite casual lunch.

A new place opened up in Exton (Lionville part) called Char-Lee's. I don't know about great, but they're (a) the best burger around, and (b) reliable. They boast of making everything from fresh ingredients. My wife and I have been pretty happy with them when we're in the mood for a burger.
