Hi all I work right off the loop 101 and 19th AVE. Any recommendations for great Vietnamese chow in the area. Have car will travel.

It might be a little bit of a drive, but I was impressed with Nam Sao at 43rd Avenue and Bell Road. Super cheap and very good. Loved the curry, the meat salad and grilled meats. Good pho.

A ways down 19th Ave from you, there is Da Vang, which is at 4538 N. 19th Ave. Also, there used to be a Vietnamese restaurant in the strip mall that's just south of the SW corner of 19th Ave. and Northern -- I haven't checked for quite a few months to see if it's still there. And Pho Bang is on Camelback and 17th Ave. If you want to drive over to Old Glendale, there's Little Saigon, which we like a lot, at 7016 N 57th Ave. Pho Avina, mentioned below, is closer to you, but we don't like it as much as some of the others (especially the dreadful iced coffee that is pre-mixed in the machine).
