Great Breakfast In Gloucester

Went to Morning Glory in Gloucester on Stacey Boulevard, had the best breakfast I have had in a long time, the fish cakes are UNBELIEVABLE, price was great also, service was A+, a family owned business with older & younger Italian women waiting on tables as if they were waiting on their grandfather. You can also sit on the deck overlooking Gloucester harbor, what a sight, going to be great in the summer. If you get a chance, stop by for breakfast or lunch. You will not be disapointed.

  1. My regular spot is Sugar Mag's, but the waitstaff has been a bit snotty the past 6mos or so. I'm going to give Glory a try, please tell me what you like besides the fish cakes.

    1. Tried MG today, had a pretty good omelette, plenty of fresh ingredients. Coffee is nothing to remember, homefries were quite minimal but tasty, excellent choice of breads. It took the waitress 15 minutes to bring me a coffee, she was a little slow. The real downer is they only take cash, and the prices really don't reflect that. I'll stick with Sugar Mag's or 2 Sisters.

      1. The last time I went to Morning Glory, there were eggshells in my wife's omlette. On the other hand, I tried Lee's for the first time in a long time and they are much improved. Still a bizarre decor, but the food and menu were great. Sugar Mag's still No. 1.

Lots of good breakfast joints in Gloucester. Sugar Magnolias, Sailor Stans (seasonal), George's, Zeke's, The Dory, are among the good ones.

I like to mix it up for breakfast, how about some details on what you like about them, what they're good at, specialties etc.

If you ever want a good laugh, try using the restroom at the Dory. If you can find it.
