Wedding Cake in Cabo San Lucas
Does anyone have any suggestions for a bakery in the Cabo San Lucas area that can do a great wedding cake? We decided we wanted to get married in Cabo but seriously just started planning things last week- at this point it does not look like we'll be able to get to Cabo before the wedding to do any kind of tasting. (We are planning for mid May- which is really starting to stress me out) Also- I'd greatly appreciate any recommendations for a chef or caterer- our plan right now is to rent a villa and have the wedding meal on site.
(Off subject, can anyone recommend a wedding coordinator for the area? I've browsed web sites and tried contacting a few but haven't had a lot of promising feedback so far)
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Hello Pretty Platy
Don't get stressed out. there are many good bakers in the Los Cabos area. One that I will recomend is Jennifer Hatton. Her web sigt is www.dessertdiva.com . She is a fabulous wedding cake designer. We use her for many of our weddings and she can make any thing from beautiful cup cakes to 4 layer masterpieces. If you need our help please call or email me. firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 1-858-427-0658
Hi - I got married in Los Cabos in Oct 2006. We had a FABULOUS wedding. I used Sunset Weddings http://www.asunsetwedding.com/ I found that even with a planner, I had to do A LOT of work - but the vendors that sunset wedding worked with were really fantastic & definitely worth it. Be careful of the cake... depending you the time of year of your wedding & the location of the reception. Ours was in the evening, outdoors in October. VERY HOT. If we had a "normal" wedding cake it would have melted & collapsed. Instead we had very pretty, little individual cakes that were kept in a refrigerator & then served at the last minute. They were the best tasting wedding cake i've ever had. The photographer we got through sunset weddings was wonderful & also the flower vendor. I organized the location & dinner menu myself. We had our ceremony and then the reception at the Cabo Surf Hotel http://www.cabosurfhotel.com/ - the food there was very good. I remember really liking their mole. In all it was a great experience & my guests still tell me it was the best wedding they've ever been to.
