MissNic Jan 15, 2008 10:37 PM

So yes I know Valentines is just around the corner , and I am looking for a Romantic, yet intimate dining experience ... in or around DFW ... If anybody has been to the Italian Inn in Fort Worth and knows about the little secluded booths with doors .. (horrible food) this is the type of place I am looking for ... I just want better food ... please help as this is OUR first valentines and he left it up to me to decide what we are going to do .... (Lol he romances me every other day of the year! )

Amici Signature in downtown Carrollton is the place you want to go. Wonderful Italian food and service, great atmosphere (like dining in an artist's loft) and BYOB so it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Website is www.amicisignature.com. I've also posted a review on my Food Czar blog (December posting).

I would second Amici's in Carrollton, it is outstanding and the BYOB is great.

If you're looking to stay in Fort Worth, how about Sardines (http://www.pegasusnews.com/places/sar...)?

I spent Valentine's here two years ago and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Live music, dim candlelight, decent wine list (lots of inexpensive options), commendable Italian food (stick to pastas). Plus it's right in the Museum District if you're interested in a little culture for romance. Only complaint is the tables are perhaps too close together for comfort.

Have you been to Sardine's in FW? That might be an option.

If you are not looking for Italian only--I haven't been there in a while and it is a little pricey, but I loved the quaint setting at Saint-Emilion in Ft. Worth. It has the feel of small-town France. My now husband and I spent our first Vday there, and we loved it!
