Where do you think they mix the best cocktails in Manhattan? I'm on the Upper East side but will happily travel for the right cocktail.

I can do trendy, classy, trashy, quirky, known, or hidden....

just let me know which your recommendation is ......

  1. Cafe Gray, Grayz, Little Branch and Pegu all make some mean cocktails!

    Little Branch
22 Seventh Ave South, New York, NY 10014

    Grayz
    13 W 54th St, New York, NY 10019

    1. Some of the best cocktails I have had are at Public (lemon basil martini, and a ginger martini - amazing); and at Rose Bar they come up with some gorgeous and creative drinks as well.

      1. Stanton Social and WD50 have really creative, great ones.

        1. Flatiron Lounge is great

          1. Brandy Library, Death & Co, PDT

            1. Not yet mentioned; PDT, Milk and Honey, Little Branch, and Tailor.

              1. Not yet mentioned: Angel's Share, upstairs inside a resturant at 8 Stuyvesant St.
parties of 4 or fewer, no standing.

                1. I went to NY at the beginning of January and stayed at the new hotel 6 Columbus circle which is located just behind the Time Warner center. I had a margarita at the Blue ribbon restaurant located in the hotel 6 Columbus circle. It was made by Keith and it was the best margarita I have ever drank and one of the best cocktails ever! It was 11$, which is cheap nowadays in NY, and it was excellent.

I went to MObar at the Mandarin Oriental hotel because people talk about it a lot and they are not worth the 19$. I had a cosmo, it was good but not as good as the margarita!

Bar 89 in soho makes the best cocktails also. I was dissapointed a couple of weeks ago when I had a mojito there but they usually are incredible.

                  1. The Temple Bar (on Lafayette right above Houston) is a great place to get a well-mixed cocktail. It's casual, yet mature, without being stuffy.
