Meatball Sandwich at Morty's Deli

The other day I walked up to Morty's Deli on Golden Gate Ave. in SF for a meatball sandwich. It was fabulous. Menu says "homemade meatballs, marinara, mozerella and parmesan on a sub roll" and it's $6.95 plus tax.

Meatballs were big, cut in half. You could taste the garlic, fennel seeds and oregano. Marinara was thick and tasty. Roll was perfectly toasted, and a substantial, delicious roll (could have been sourdough) that held up to the warm filling.

Delicious.

  1. We tried morty's for the first time Saturday. I have to say their reuben was, without a doubt, the best one I've had in california. I'm quite curious to try their meatball sandwich -- so glad you liked it!
